一、强调句的定义
在交际中，为了突出句子的某一部分，我们通常会使用某种方法或手段使它突出，以便引起他人注意，这就是强调。强调句常用句型为：It is/was +被强调部分+ that/who...
二、强的用法
1. 强调句型It is/was +被强调部分+ that/who...
He bought the book in this shop yesterday.
→ It was he that bought the book in this shop yesterday.
→ It was the book that he bought in this shop yesterday.
→ It was in this shop that he bought the book yesterday.
2. 强调句型的变式
(1)强调句的一般疑问句形式：
Is/ Was it +被强调部分+that/who+其他成分?
Was it in 1939 that the Second World War broke out?
(2)强调句的特殊疑问句形式：
特殊疑问词+ is/was+ it + that+其他成分?
例如：Jim met his good friend last night on the street. 对这句话变换：
强调Jim：Who was it that met his good friend last night on the street?
强调friend：Whom was it that Jim met last night on the street?
强调last night：When was it that Jim met his good friend on the street?
强调on the street：Where was it that Jim met his good friend last night?

【答案】B。解析：考查强调句。句意：小吉姆非常小心地写信。做强调句的方法是，如果选项中有强调句句式，首先先看成强调句，把强调句的句式去掉，看下非强调形式，其形式为Little Jim wrote the letter very carefully.。句意结构完整，故为强调句强调副词very carefully。故选B。
